From the Top
I specialize in working with couples, families, and brands who value a relaxed and collaborative approach to photography. My clients also understand that film can be unpredictable and imperfect, adding a unique charm to each image. My easy-going nature and openness to ideas make me a perfect fit for clients who want to feel comfortable and at ease, especially on their wedding day. I have a particular affinity for smaller ceremonies and elopements with 100 or fewer guests, where intimacy and genuine moments shine. These film images of your day have a timeless quality, capturing the depth of emotions and allowing the finer details to stand out. Just like film, I appreciate the subtleties in life, ensuring that each photograph is a lasting and meaningful reflection of your special moments.

My POV
I am a guest at your wedding, your friend that will hike a mountain with you at sunrise, a great baby sitter, a creative dreamer and your long lost cousin at the family reunion. I'm seeing everything first hand in a 35mm view. Film is meant to feel personal and I am looking for the planned moments and intimate interactions between loved ones. I can to see the fine details and the big picture at the same time. I might even get emotional or enthusiastic when I taking a shot.

Choose Your Own Adventure
Whatever type of experience you choose, it’s going to feel unique and tailored to you. From weddings and elopements, to events like bridal showers or family reunions, each occasion is different, yet you’ll always get the same ‘Erin.’ We will share laughter, connection, and emotional moments. Every session is an opportunity to create something special, memorable and heartfelt.

Film & Frame
Selecting the right film is crucial in capturing the essence of your event. Whether it's the vibrant colors of Kodak Portra for weddings or the rich contrast of Ilford HP5 for intimate portraits, I choose 35mm film that enhances the atmosphere and tells your story authentically. For each event, the number of rolls of 35mm film I shoot varies, tailored to the specific needs and moments of your day. We'll talk about how many rolls during one of our meet ups. Following development and scanning, you'll receive a digital album with meticulously curated images. You have personal usage rights to these images, which means you can use them however you like but Erin Griffin Photography still owns the image.

Why Film?
Growing up, my family always said, "it's the skier, not the skis," (we grew up ski racing in New England). That saying continues to influence my approach to life. This philosophy underscores the authenticity, personal touch, and uniqueness that I strive to capture in every image, and it's precisely why I choose to shoot on 35mm film. For the past decade, film has been my medium of choice, a connection that runs deep within me as an artist. Film is integral to my creative process, and unlike many, it is not an add-on but included in the total price. Despite not bringing a digital camera to your event, you will receive all your images digitally. After developing and meticulously editing each frame, they are scanned to preserve their essence and deliver them to you digitally. This ensures that you not only receive timeless photographs but also have them forever to cherish and share.
